Authentic vintage United States Navy wool jumper with serious history baked in. This deep navy blue enlisted jumper was manufactured for the Navy Clothing Supply Office and is tagged size 36 Regular. Soft 100% wool with the classic sailor collar, white stripe trim, and cuff stripes.
The highlight is the sleeve: Signalman Petty Officer First Class rating badge (eagle, crossed flags, and red chevrons) plus a “U.S.S. BIGELOW” tab. The USS Bigelow (DD-942) was a Forrest Sherman–class destroyer commissioned in 1957 that served during the Cold War and Vietnam era. If you love uniforms with a story, this one is a winner.
Condition is excellent vintage: I did not find holes or stains. Wool is soft with light lint and normal wear from age. Not a reproduction.
