Vintage 2004 J. Crew Cotton Cady Strapless Wedding Gown Full Length Sz 8 Preppy
Purchased in 2004, never worn but went through several moves with me, and boyfriends that were never Mr. Right.
The good news- purchased with hope and never worn. This full length gown is crafted from 100% cotton and is also lined with 100% cotton. Boning on the upper sides of the bodice help retain shape. Bodice is not quite empire waist, but close to it. The back has an inverted box center pleat with a small train. The front has a convenient kangaroo pocket. Flaws from storage: several rust spots. See images for context. I broke the cardinal rule and did wash this in cold and hung it to dry rather than dry clean only, because after all, it’s been stored for 21 years. Scent free laundry soap used, no fabric softener.
Measurements: pit to pit laid flat 16”. Waist laid flat 15”. Top of the Bust to waist length is 9”. Waist to hem length is 44”.
This is classic J. Crew circa early 2004. Wear her well.
