2011 Hobo Bag
This cute bag was originally lavender and hand dyed to a darker purple. The strap and hang tag are original color, you can see some color transfer marks on the tag but I wanted to leave the tag original.
This piece has been dyed with Feibings Dye in two shades of purple. Due to the nature of painting the dye there are areas that are not uniform and have a "Watercolor" look. Dye on patent leather is permanent and part of the dyeing process is rubbing over the dyed areas with alcohol to make sure any access dye is removed (this also leaves the thread lavender which is nice!). Bag is then Polished with Vernis Rife. The regular leather strap top is sealed with Resoline dye sealant.
