The Vintage Betsey Johnson Punk Label swing dress is a rare piece. It must not be one-of-a-kind, but despite massive searches I have yet to find another one anywhere, or a piece created with this specific fabric.
While being extremely elegant, this dress gives VERY Andy Warhol/Factory punk/pop vibe!! Imagine fashion icons Twiggy or Edie Sedgewick in this with platforms and that 60's eyeliner, or even Studio 54 era Debbie Harry matching it with combat boots. It is a trapeze/swing style cut, features a jewel mock neck and halter-like style shoulder cut, with a back zipper closure. It hits an above-the-knee-length, and would be somewhat mini if you're tall.
The fabric is a semi sheer woven polyester with a shimmery feathery eyelash-like texture, and some body. It has structured seams, and drapes beautifully.
It's perfect for cocktail/mocktail hour, parties, and definitely a high fashion 60's or 80's bash.
