John Gunther was one of the best known and most admired journalists of his day. This work about FDR, written in 1950 just 5 years after the great man's death, still stands as one of the best overviews of the subject. It was the first overall and objective appraisal of Roosevelt. The book is split into sections dealing with each part of Roosevelt's life.
