I chose not to take them out because they were secured in the packaging (pictured).This accessory is in excellent condition except yellowing of the water from age. No chips, cracks, or indication of misuse or abuse. The original flimsy cardboard sleeve and Styrofoam may have some wear.I have LOTS of other Dept 56 Village decorative items in my inventory.
