This is a classic single-focal-length portrait lens, the 35mm Distagon series, made by Carl Zeiss of West Germany. As the "Made by Rollei" name suggests, despite its compact design, it supports the medium format camera Rollei's QB mount (QBM), making it a lens with high resolution potential.
While the category is borrowed from the Sony α series, a separate mount adapter for QBM is required (available from around 2000 yen). You can still enjoy the Distagon's capabilities, which can handle full-frame mirrorless cameras, even today. Comparing it with the East German masterpiece Flektogon might also be interesting.
The helicoid torque is appropriate, the aperture is good, there is minimal dust, and there is no balsam separation. The lens barrel has few dents, despite being an antique lens. The condition of the resin is good, with no cracks.
