Antique - OLD ORIG 1900 ERA LITHOGRAPH PRINT OF BLACK AND WHITE HORSES IN A STORM TITLED "SPIRITED HORSES" ~~ The original painting was done by LeRoy Hoover before the turn of the century. He did a pair, Spirited horses 1 and Spirited horses 2. This is an antique print of that painting done by L.M. Johnson of Chicago in 1900 (see photos). The print is in strong condition, no visible waves or tears. This picture was very famous in the early 20th century it appeared in many movies and TV shows. One movie is "A Christmas Story" ... The one about the boy who wants the red-rider BB gun for Christmas. In the scene where his Fathers leg lamp is broken, this print is on the wall in Dining Room and has become an iconic treasure to own.
